Opstream is named as a sample stand-alone vendor in the Gartner® “Toolkit: RFP for Procurement Orchestration Platforms,” published on 16 October 2026.1
Most procurement teams we talk to remember the start of their last platform evaluation. Someone opens a blank spreadsheet, the team spends weeks writing questions, and the final list still misses what the business needs. A good RFP saves time for everyone: for the buyer, for each stakeholder who must review a request, and for the vendors who answer it.
That is why we are happy to share this news with our customers and our community. Gartner has published a toolkit for procurement leaders who are preparing an RFP for procurement orchestration platforms, and Opstream is one of the vendors it lists.
It is a Gartner toolkit (ID G00854315) for procurement leaders who are writing a request for proposal (RFP) for a procurement orchestration platform. It gives an evaluation team a structured starting point for the questions they send to vendors.1
The toolkit is Gartner content for Gartner clients. We do not reproduce or summarize its questions here. Gartner clients can find it on gartner.com.
Gartner lists Opstream as a sample stand-alone vendor. The other stand-alone vendors it lists are Levelpath, Omnea, ORO Labs and ServiceNow. It also lists source-to-pay (S2P) suites: Coupa (Tonkean), GEP, Ivalua, Zip and Zycus.1
A sample vendor listing is not a ranking, a score or an award. Gartner does not endorse any vendor.
This section is our own view, based on what we see with the procurement teams we work with.
A purchase request rarely stays with one team. Procurement, legal, finance, IT and security each have a part, and each team often works in its own system. Intake is the front door: it captures the request. Orchestration is what happens after that: it moves the request through each review, in the right order, with the right data.
When those steps are not connected, requesters do not know where their request is, reviewers repeat work, and decisions are hard to trace later. That is the problem we built Opstream to solve:
When you write an RFP, ask each vendor to show these steps in production, with your own request types, not on a roadmap slide.
We also publish our own free RFP template. It is separate from the Gartner toolkit. Opstream built it from real enterprise RFP processes, and it has 173 questions in 14 weighted categories, with a vendor comparison dashboard.
