About Opstream

Opstream is a fast growing B2B SaaS startup transforming how enterprises manage procurement and vendor workflows. We are small in number of people, but growth is aggressive and momentum is real, mainly with enterprises. This is the stage where every hire changes the trajectory of the company.

If you want a safe, quiet corporate job, this is not it. If you want to join a rocket ship, have real ownership, and sit at the table while the company scales, this is your place.

You will not be a number here. You will influence product, process, customers, and strategy. If you love impact, speed, and building something meaningful in a tight team environment, you will thrive.

Opstream is an AI-driven procurement orchestration platform designed to streamline procurement processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and drive cost-effective, compliant workflows for businesses. With a no-code drag-and-drop editor, real-time collaboration tools, and AI-powered insights, Opstream simplifies procurement and vendor management for organizations of all sizes. Trusted by dozens of companies, Opstream enables teams to optimize purchasing workflows, reduce spending by up to 23%, and minimize shadow procurement. By integrating with hundreds of business tools, the platform provides a unified, modern solution to manage procurement processes and achieve strategic business goals.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Solutions Engineer to sit at the intersection of Sales and Customer Success. You’ll be the technical voice in our prospect and customer conversations: running proof-of-concepts, demoing the product to prospects, partnering with product marketing on technical sales collateral, and helping our CS team land complex implementations. This is a hands-on, configuration-heavy role (not a coding role), ideal for someone who’s comfortable getting into the weeds of a product, translating customer requirements into a working setup, and explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical buyers.

You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Product Marketing, and you’ll have direct visibility into how the product evolves based on what you’re hearing and seeing in the field.

What You’ll Own

  • Run proof-of-concepts (POCs) with prospects: scope requirements, configure the platform to reflect a prospect’s real workflows, and drive the POC to a clear outcome
  • Act as sales engineer for the team: deliver technical product demos tailored to each prospect’s use case, and answer technical/security/integration questions during the sales cycle
  • Partner with Product Marketing to build sales collateral (technical one-pagers, demo scripts, competitive battlecards, RFP response content) grounded in real product capability
  • Support the Customer Success team on complex implementations: configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring technical handoffs from Sales to CS are smooth
  • Become a platform expert across schema design, approval workflows, integrations, and automation, and use that expertise to unblock prospects and customers

What We’re Looking For

  • Comfortable in technical settings: configuring software, working with workflows/logic/integrations, and troubleshooting. No coding required, but you shouldn’t be intimidated by technical depth
  • Experience in a sales engineering, solutions engineering, technical CS, or implementation role at a B2B SaaS company
  • Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment: comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and wearing multiple hats
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical detail for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Genuinely excited about AI tools and how they’re changing how software gets built and used
  • Self-directed and outcome-oriented; you don’t need heavy oversight to figure out what a prospect or customer needs

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with procurement, finance, or legal tech tools (as a user, implementer, or vendor-side SE)
  • Experience running RFP responses or technical security reviews in a sales cycle
  • Familiarity with no-code/low-code workflow configuration tools

Logistics

  • Location: Remote, US
  • Compensation: Base salary + Success base bonus, full benefits and 401k, equity package
